There is a war of Capital against Nature and Humanity and the profiteers in this war only wish is to serve one master, the $, and this 'elite' raising the drawbridge of opportunity insulating itself behind the walls of trespass with it's hired thugs and legal machinery as the resources get ever depleted and the costs rise of obtaining them. The apathetic non-combatants in this war merely follow the attitude of their masters in following the Biblical saying, "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die" They care not for the future of Nature or Social Justice by their political inaction or their impatient consumption of the novel. Indeed they recoil at violence on the streets but ignore that of the 'drip-drip' water torture of western democracies perpetrated against its own poor and those who want change in the developing world.
